Jeg har modtaget denne email fra Mike N2ms tror at den kan have interesse for andre.
I've spoken to you on various occasions on the 5346.5 Short and Sweet Net. If you haven't heard the FCC has changed our 60 Meter 5357 allocation form a channel to a band to conform to the rest of the world - 5351.5 to 5366.5 and lowered the power to 15 Watts. The FCC is still considering increasing the power to 100 watts. I belong to a net which runs on channel 3 because some radio tune 1kHz steps so we have to decide where to move. My questions is about the 5351.5 to 5366.5 band. I know 5357 is the de-facto FT-8 frequency but are the CW, Digital and SSB segments allocated in this band? This would help in determining our next move. The change will take place 30 days from December 10. Thanks and hope to chat with you in the future on 60. 73 Mike N2MS Redigeret 12/12-25 14:34

Kopieret fra Facebook gruppen "Worldwide 60M amateurradio band" These changes are going to change very soon. As early as late Dec. 2025, to Jan. 2026. 1.] U.S. General, Advanced, and Extra Class Amateurs will have full use of 5351.5 thru 5366.5 MHz. BUT!!! Here's the caveat.. we are STILL the secondary users there. What that means is... if you hear a transmission other than hams... YOU CANNOT INTERFERE WITH IT! PERIOD!! 2.] Extreme change in power out. It will be 9.1 watts ERP. That's 15 watts EIRP. ( I'll explain more later.) 3.) This change is ONLY for the NEW frequencies. If you are operating on our PRIOR 5 frequencies, you may still operate with a maximum of 100 watts ERP out. In case you are not aware; our frequencies our currently ( SSB): in khz... 5330.5 5346.5 5357.0 5371.5 5403.5 ( which some people say is a DX calling frequency. ) 4.) We STILL must not interfere with any transmissions in this ENTIRE BAND. This is all what I have for now, but I'm quite sure more info will be coming out soon. I apologize in advance for any errors I made have made. Please let me know if I screwed up. But do not post ugly comments. It is what it is. About 60..... I have been fairly active on 60 for a number of years. From my home QTH, a simple dipole, not real high, and 100 watts, I have worked stations all the way to the Canadian border, and all over the SE U.S. I live in W. GA., about 6 miles East of the ALA. border. I'm also about 22 miles straight south of I-20, and about 55 miles SW of Atlanta. I have an ELECRAFT K3 that I can adjust its output down to 100 mw / ... 1/10th of a watt, and with a simple 60 meter dipole I have had QSO's ( USB ) with stations in middle Tennessee. I enjoy 60 meters a lot, hope these new frequencies will liven up 60. I have a good friend, Jeff, K4UIE, who lives above Gainesville, GA., and we converse quite often on 60. It has always been much much quieter than 75 meters. I'm going to do a little more checking into EIRP+ERP so I hopefully present correct definitions. Thanks, de WB9DBD Admin on Friendly Amateur Radio Elmers. ---------- Jørgen, OZ0J |
