---------- OZ7CC /OZ1BPZ / 5P1CC |

Fra Facebook gruppen 9N1EMERGENCY "Dr Kapil Rijal plus 17 Doctors leave for Nepal on Saturday from the UK their intention is to go to areas outside Kathmandu as to date these areas have not received very much medical assistance. We hope they can make it okay and their flight goes ahead. A former British Army Gurkha Bishnu Tamang is the relief Co-ord in the UK. These Doctors could have radio amateurs with them if we can get our antennas out in time this would begin to rebuild the communications outside the city and the villages in the hills which is badly needed as they believe the outside world has forgotten them as they have had no relief. Biggest problem is the bottleneck at the airport with only two aircraft on the ground at any one time we can see a constant queue of air traffic on a holding pattern but most have to divert to New Delhi in India and await a turn in the mean time more aircraft arrive faster than they can unload them on the ground. If only these people new how much the rest of the World really cares about them it might give them some hope! Our antennas have been offloaded from 3 flights out of Germany/holland today and BZ in the UK is not accepting at this time. Still we will continue to try and get them out. If you can help please let us know. Thanks. 73 de CT7ACG" ---------- Mvh. søren oz2nml |

QSP FROM THE CDXC reflector: Latest News from the Nepal Emergency Net.. Yesterday 9N1AA asked the emergency net to provide 10 x 7Mhz vertical antennas with coax. The response was amazing firstly from DC8BJ who offered 6 mono banders. Moon Raker followed with an offer also. All with coax and connectors. Shipping to airport in Germany arranged 3 flights we had them on were cancelled. In the UK our problem was Brize Norton and we are still working on who would give us permission to load these onto an aircraft. Yesterday it was announced that Dr Kapil Rijal plus 17 Doctors leave for Nepal on Saturday from the UK their intention is to go to areas outside Kathmandu as to date these areas have not received very much medical assistance. We hope they can make it okay and their flight goes ahead. A former British Army Gurkha Bishnu Tamang is the relief Co-ord in the UK. These Doctors could have radio amateurs who are waiting in Nepal to go with them if we can get our antennas out in time this would begin to rebuild the communications outside the city and the villages in the hills which is badly needed as they believe the outside world has forgotten them as they have had no relief. URGENT UPDATE - TO ALL STATIONS !!!! Due to the forthcoming Italian all mode contest this weekend the Nepal disaster frequency will move at 1400z today Thursday 30th of April until further notice. All emergency traffic will be passed on 14300 Khz which will be a controlled net as was 14205 Khz and 215. Previous issues in Nepal with 14300 Khz have now been resolved. Relay stations will still be required to keep QRM to a minimum. Our secondary frequency will remain open between the hours of 0800z and 2300z for non emergency traffic relating to the disaster and will be a controlled net when ever possible. Thank you all for your assistance and continued cooperation Amir Bazak 4X6TT ---------- Mvh. søren oz2nml Redigeret 30/04-15 14:57
